A trial date of November 3, has been set to hear my lawsuit to reverse El Dorado County's ban on the retail sales of medical marijuana. Venue is not set due to the recusal of Judge Proud in Dept. 9. We may be going in front of Judge Kingsbury in South Lake Tahoe. The discovery process starts and we are interested in the history of Ordinance Code 4683 - the mysterious striking of the word "dispensary" from county code.

Planning Dept.'s Peter Maurer stated that "staff from Planning, County Counsel, Sheriff, District Attorney, and Health all met" with regard to this ordinance and noticeably absent from these meetings were any of us from the California voting public. I just can't stand by while a county government secretly meets to undermine the will of the state's courts, legislators, and voters and I'm betting a California Superior Court Judge will not stand by either.
