The first weekend of April at Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA was the time and place for the Fifth National Clinical Conference on Cannabis Therapeutics where the theme was - Cannabis: Re-Entering Mainstream Medicine. Sponsored by Patients Out of Time @ www.medicalcannabis.com , this two day conference was packed with new findings on the medical benefits of medical marijuana and the frustration in efforts to get national policy changes to reflect what science has proven.

New studies regarding regular marijuana smoking and pulmonary or pulmonary-related diseases were explained by the studies author, Dr. Donald Tashkin. No relationship was found in the cohort and population based study other than, perhaps, a protective effect.
