El Dorado County Extends Moratorium
Written by Matt Vaughn
Tuesday, 27 December 2011
The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday December 20th to extend the moratorium on new medical marijuana cultivation and distribution facilities for another 10 months and 15 days, which will extend into November 2012. The cultivation Ordinance 4970 will exempt 200 square feet per parcel for outdoor cultivation and still prohibits collectives of 3 or more patients and medical marijuana distribution facilities in Ordinance 4971. We are having the petitions for referendum printed up soon and if you're an El Dorado County resident (you don't have to be a patient) and would like to collect signatures to require the Board of Supervisors to put these ordinances on a ballot for the voters to make their choices and have their voices heard, please call us to help collect signatures. We are available on the phone from noon to 7pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 10am until 2pm - 530.677.5362 or contact us by email. Thanks for all of the support.
